Elessar is a small kennel on the Central Coast of California. We do
not intend to ever breed a large number of Silkens and are committed
to giving each puppy personal attention and socialization in a loving
home environment.
2019 Litter Is Here!
We are thrilled about this litter, which is exciting in a lot of ways. The structure, movement, size, breed type and temperaments on these two Silkens compliment each other beautifully. Stetson and Enya are both pretty amazing in their own rights, with pretty stellar parents too. Enya’s mom “Storm” won the Silken Windhound National Specialty (Silkenfest) Best In Show in 2017, as well as being the #1 Silken female straight racer for 7 years and the only female Silken Windhound to earn a SRCX6 or SGRC4. Stetson’s grandma “Tootsie” won Silkenfest in 2012 and Stetson’s mom “Patty” won more Specialty shows than I can count. And that’s just on their mom’s sides. With performance and conformation on both sides of the family, not to mention fabulous temperaments, we can’t wait to see this litter mature.

2013 Surf Spots Litter
We are really excited about this litter, which has been in the planning many years. The structure, movement, size, breed type and temperaments on these two Silkens compliment each other beautifully. Strider has a huge heart and children who have excelled in every venue from conformation (multi BIS winners and grand champions), to top ranked lure coursers and racers to therapy dogs. Storm is a social party girl who has exceeded our hopes in the show ring and performance, having ranked in the top 10 in UKC and also #1 straight racing Silken Windhound female for 4 years in a row and top 5 Silken Windhound racers for the past 3 years.

In 2006, we bred our Strider (Rarities Int'l Ch. Allagante Aragorn Elessar) to the beautiful, silly Ginger (ISWS CH Rarities CH Gryffyn's Dancin' Queen). Ginger is our sweet Kyra's paternal half-sister, and the puppies look very promising. Their son Gabe won Winners Dog/Best of Winners and Best Bred-By Exhibitor in Show at the Fall 2007 BooFest Regional Specialty.
